First couple of layers of paint. I paint several thin layers. This gives the color more depth.

The feather detail is all burned. Now for a couple of touch ups and some paint!

I have gotten a little carried away with the texturing, but am having fun with it. Still more to do, then I’ll burn the feather detail.
“Dobby” is a Yellow Collar Macaw. This commission is particularly fun because I also have a Yellow Collar Macaw.
I’ve used several photos of Dobby to come up with a pose that will represent him well
