It all started back in the early ’80s when a good friend and I decided to do something “really stupid” and sign up for an Adult Ed drawing class. Convinced for most of my life that I could NOT do “art”,  a whole new world opened up when I discovered that I COULD do art.  Library books about sculpture caught my eye, and with help from some very talented instructors and stubborn determination the rest is history.

In recent years I have discovered and embraced encaustics painting.  (It really helps to discover these things with good friends!!!)   I have also rekindled a love for pastels and hope to do a lot more of that.

I love teaching carving.  It gives me the opportunity to get my message out there:  We are all gifted or talented in some way.  And…we CAN all do “art”.
